| Sea View Cottage is set overlooking Aberdovey Beach and the Dovey Estuary in what must be one of the most stunning locations in Aberdovey / Aberdyfi. The cottage was built around 1900 and belonged to the Penhelig Lodge to house their staff. The property has recently been renovated but still retains its original character, homely comforts and its own private grounds; with 3 small gardens and a private parking area. Sea View Cottage has an air of tranquillity and relaxation; from the large bay windows you have a grandstand view of the ebb and flow of the tides whatever the weather. ‘Lovers Lane’ runs just below the property and is a great shortcut in to the heart of the village or to the beach. | |||||||||||||||||

The area has plenty to offer the visitor, for walkers there are routes from this property taking you directly to the hills and up to Bwlchgwyn with its panoramic views over Cardigan Bay and Happy Valley. To the West are walks along the beach to Tywyn - 4 miles away and on to the dysynni Valley beyond. Further afield is the beautiful Cader Idris Mountain Range and Blue Lakes just 30 minutes drive away. For Golfers, the Aberdovey Golf Club rated as one of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the UK, has hosted many championships, including more recently the British Ladies' Home Internationals, and is also the regular home of the Welsh Seniors' Championship. For the sailors’, the Aberdovey Yacht Club which can be seen from the cottage, has an excellent club house alongside the beach. Membership forms are available at the club and new members are always welcome. |

Please be aware that the cottage is set on a steep slope and has a small rock face to the rear, we strongly advise that children are supervised at all times whilst around the gardens. Please note there is a track leading to the property which should be approached with care in low slung cars.
Sea View Cottage sleeps 4 and has:
On the ground floor a kitchen with adjoining utility room - excellent for storing and drying wet clothing or equipment. A spacious lounge/dining room with sea views and downstairs toilet. The First Floor has a shower room with WC, a Front Double Bedroom and a Rear Twin Bedroom.
The semi-detached property has parking for two cars, a garden to the front, side and rear. Short Breaks are only available during Winter and Low Season (excluding holidays) |
