Ty Bont is an unusual spacious detached stone built cottage located in a quiet area of Tywyn which has views overlooking the Dysynni Valley and the Cader Idris mountain range beyond. From the front door you step out in the wide open spaces of the Dysynni Valley, the quiet road outside the property leads down to the Dysynni Broad which is a magnet for fishermen (local fishing license can be purchased in the town). Keen walkers are rewarded with its panoramic views and stunning scenery.

A few minutes walk away is the town centre and the road leading on to the towns long sandy beach with promenade.

The tranquil town of Tywyn lies on the sweeping Cardigan Bay coast and 4 miles away from Aberdovey, situated at the end of the imposing Cader Idris mountain range where the landscape tumbles into the sea on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The promenade and town are all on one level, ideal for that gentle evening stroll watching the sunset along the edge of the Bay. Shopping in Tywyn is a pleasure, with an open-air market on most Mondays and local shops offering a wide range of local produce and gifts. The proximity to mountains and sea means the town also offers a wide variety of activities, from mountaineering to surfing; the area offers leisurely rambles through the beautiful countryside.

Slightly further afield lie the towns of Dolgellau (20 miles)and Aberdovey (4 miles) with its golf course, while attractions such as Harlech Castle, Llanfair Slate Caverns and the Tal y Llyn Railway, together with the sandy beaches of the Cambrian coast make this an ideal location for a relaxing break

Comments from visitors book

This cottage is lovely – it exceeded our expectation, you have thought of every comfort & the quality of all the furnishings, fixtures & fittings is first class. We would love to have stayed longer. The bottle of wine on our arrival was a lovely surprise and having the cottage heated ready for us was such a thoughtful touch. We will defiantly recommend this cottage to everyone & we would like to come back in the spring. We walked from the cottage on Saturday to Aberdovey along the beach & we were so thirsty we had to stop off at the Penhelig Arms for refreshments. A perfect way to spend a relaxing day – bus back was a good idea! The Cottage speaks for its self and your hospitality has been wonderful, we’ll definitely be back.

Lovely Stay, great cottage, well equipped and comfortable.Walking excellent. Shall bring fishing rods next time!Hopefully back for the New Year stay with my parents.Agents were very helpful, nothing more to say as everything was brilliant. Thank you.

Fantastic cottage – very well equipped, it really exceeded our expectations and more, was a real home from home ‘perfect’.Friendly village – mountains on one side, sea on the other side, what more could we ask. Visited Pwllheli on Friday 9.40am train, had a lovely day out.We have all had a brilliant holiday, would recommend you cottage to family and friends. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks again.

Thank you very much for a lovely stay. Very comfortable and everything we could have needed. Great facilities for the baby.Went on Talyllyn railway – great day out. Aberdyfi is lovely too. Nice walks on the beach in Tywyn and recommend ‘Skippy’s’ for proper fish & chips!

We liked the cottage very much, also the wonderful view to the hills! The beach was very handy – a nice walk towards Aberdovey. Plenty of very beautiful countryside and walks within easy reach. We have also seen lots of wildlife (Ospreys etc.) We would certainly come again – good value cottage.
