Situated in the picturesque village of Aberdyfi within Snowdonia National Park this apartment is comfortable and well equipped, with a south-facing patio. Only a few minutes’ walk away down the hill are the local shops, pubs, restaurants and sandy beach.

The apartment is in an ideal location for the local area’s attractions – bird watching (red kites can be seen nearby, and there is an RSPB nature reserve at nearby Ynis Hir); fabulous walking for the enthusiast or just a stroll,; the Centre for Alternative Technology at Machynlleth; the award-winning Talyllyn narrow-gauge railway, castles at Criccieth, Caernarfon and Harlech, a four-mile sandy beach and Aberdyfi championship links golf course in Aberdovey / Aberdyfi itself, river and sea fishing and much more besides.

Entrance- leads into the hallway with coat rack and door leading to Bathroom 1.

The hallway leads on to open plan living/dining room, separate kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom 2.

Bathroom 1- Bath with overhead shower, sink and toilet.

Living Room - a spacious and airy living room with stunning views, a comfortable two-seater settee, two easy leather armchairs with footstools, LCD TV with Freeview and DVD player. Double doors leading to a small patio.

Outdoor Patio – Small south-facing terrace with wonderful views of the Dovey Estuary and Cardigan Bay coastline. Four iron chairs and small occasional table.

Dining Room - a sunny dining room with spectacular views. Dining table with seating for six people. The door leads on to a snug room.

Snug Room –with two-seater settee, easy chair, small LCD TV and views over the Dyfi Estuary.

Kitchen - Fully fitted with a dishwasher, fridge with top freezer, built under electric oven with grill, gas hob, toaster, kettle, microwave and washing machine.

Bedroom 1 - lovely south-facing bedroom with double bed, built-in wardrobe with hanging space and shelves, chest of drawers, bedside tables and an easy chair. Fabulous views of the Dovey Estuary.

Bedroom 2 - Double bedroom, single built-in wardrobe and bedside tables. Travel cot & high chair available (guests to supply own bedding for the travel cot).

Bathroom 2 - bath with overhead shower, sink and toilet.

Parking - There is private parking for two cars. One parking bay is directly outside the front door (the parking bay to the lefthand side is for next door). The second parking bay is located at the front of the property in the allocated parking area.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey

The picturesque harbour village of Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course (rated in the UK's top 100). The village is often referred to as “an artist's paradise” with its pastel coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, all helping to create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Aberdyfi / Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn, home of the world-famous Talyllyn narrow gauge Steam Railway, crab fishing and the famous Dyfi Donkeys. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.

The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dyfi, Dysynni and Tal y Llyn valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers, and a wonderful all-year-round location.

Booking and Payment

Dyfi Cottages & Aberdyfi Holidays is a marketing agency and we do not own or manage any of the accommodation listed on our websites. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement between you and the property owner.

For bookings made more than eight weeks before arrival, a 30% deposit of the total cost of the holiday is required at the time of booking. The balance is then due eight weeks before the holiday commences.

For bookings made less than eight weeks before arrival, the total amount is payable at the time of booking.

Security Deposit

Security deposits are not required. Please note that guests are still liable for any damage, breakages or additional cleaning required as a result of their actions.

Arrival & Departure times

Arrival time is from 4 pm/ Departure time is no later than 10 am.

Bed Linen

Bed linen & towels are provided.

Heating & Electric

Heating and electric are included in the accommodation price.

Infant facilities

Travel cot & high chair available (guests to supply own bedding for the travel cot).


Regrettably, pets are not accepted. 


Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. The owner cannot guarantee the availability or speed of the service as this is dependent on third-party suppliers.


There are two private parking spaces, one directly outside the apartment and one in the parking bay at the front of the property.


Afallon is in a quiet residential location away from the hustle and bustle of the village and close to hillside walking routes.

Access, Health and Safety

The maximum occupancy is 4 guests (does not include an infant under 2 years in a travel cot).

The apartment is on one level, access is via a footbridge, and there are no steps (apart from the doorstep threshold). Afallon is situated in an elevated position above the village, therefore the road leading up to the property is very steep.

The outside patio has low railings and a steep drop to the parking area below, please ensure that children are supervised at all times in and around the property, especially the patio area.

Please contact us immediately if there are any specific needs you may have, including disability needs. It is essential that we are given as much information as possible about your requirements to avoid booking an unsuitable property. Some locations do not lend themselves to easy access and facilities, so please ask first to avoid disappointment. The choice is ultimately the responsibility of the person booking the property, and we cannot be held responsible should a property be booked that is unsuitable or inappropriate.

We have had an amazing time here, which started with your welcome!! The minute we walked through the door we feet relaxed and at home. We love all the décor and pictures – such a lovely place. The sun has shone all week, and we have had many early morning and evening walks. We enjoyed the food at the Salt Mash Kitchen, Tywyn, and Medina here on the front for a good coffee and great cakes! We will be back – no doubt about it!!

A well-equipped, comfortable apartment with wonderful sea views.  Weather has been perfect for getting out and about – enjoyable visits to Powys Castle, Barmouth, Taly y Llyn railway and CAT
