Bodafon is a tastefully refurbished seaside townhouse located on Aberdyfi's / Aberdovey's seafront with coastal views over the Dyfi Estuary. A pet-friendly holiday accommodation conveniently situated near the local shops, bars, restaurants, and Aberdovey's / Aberdyfi's 4-mile sandy beach. 

Bodafon is minutes away from the jetty (for your crabbing), water sports, and beautiful mountain walks and located next to the Welsh Coastal Path.

Bodafon is ideally placed for Aberdovey's / Aberdyfi's local attractions with good hill walking, a four-mile sandy beach, a championship links Aberdovey Golf Club, and great places to eat and drink.

Further afield you can explore the Ynys-Hir RSPB Reserve which is a wildlife haven in the heart of Wales, made famous by the BBC Spring Watch program, The Dyfi Osprey Project (please follow the link to watch live: http://www.dyfiospreyproject.com/live-streaming), the Ceredigion Heritage Coast along Cardigan Bay, the Cambrian Mountains and not forgetting the lakes, small towns, and villages, picturesque resorts, and harbours.

Sleeps 8 in 1 King size bed, 2 Double beds, & 1 bunk (bunk beds are 3ft wide but are only suited for children to use).

Front Patio - The elevated front patio has two benches to enjoy the views across Aberdyfi's Church Bay and Cardigan Bay. (There are 16 steps from the pavement level up to the entrance & patio).

Entrance - Front doorway to open plan living/dining and kitchen area.

Living Room - The living room is spacious and light with sea views. 1 large sofa, 2 seater settee, smart LCD TV, and window seating.

Kitchen & Dining Room - The Kitchen and dining area has a large dining table with 8 chairs. The kitchen is a modern well-designed area that has a free-standing under-counter fridge, electric oven & gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and Magimix Coffee machine with milk frother (no capsules provided).

Utility Room - Spacious utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink unit & large fridge freezer (3 drawer freezer). 

Rear Seating Area - Back door leads to an elevated sheltered patio area with a wooden table and 8 chairs & coal BBQ (coal not supplied).

Stairs to First Floor Landing - (with handrail) 

Family Bathroom - Bath with overhead shower, separate walk-in shower, toilet, and sink.

There are further steps up to the first-floor bedrooms.

First floor

Bedroom 1 - Front double bedroom with sea views, double bed with bedside cabinets, built-in wardrobe, dressing table with 3 drawers & hairdryer.

Bedroom 2 - Front double bedroom with sea views, double bed, built-in wardrobe, pine chest of drawers & hairdryer.

Bedroom 3 - Rear bunk bedroom with bunk beds (bunks are 3ft but are only suited for children), chest of drawers.

Bedroom 4 - A large ensuite bedroom covering the entire second floor with fantastic views. King size bed, bedside cabinets, a large built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, easy chair, and hairdryer.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey

The picturesque harbour village of Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course (rated in the UK's top 100). The village is often referred to as “an artist's paradise” with its pastel coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, all helping to create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Aberdyfi / Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn, home of the world-famous Talyllyn narrow gauge Steam Railway, crab fishing and the famous Dyfi Donkeys. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.

The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dyfi, Dysynni and Tal y Llyn valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers, and a wonderful all-year-round location.

Further information about your holiday rental

Booking and Payment - For bookings made more than 8 weeks before arrival, a 30% deposit of the total cost of the holiday is required at the time of booking. The balance is then due 8 weeks before the holiday commences.

For bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the total amount is payable at the time of booking.

Security Deposit - Security deposits are not normally required. Please note that guests are still liable for any damage or additional cleaning required as a result of their actions.

Arrival & Departure times - Arrival time is from 5pm / Departure time is no later than 9.30am.

Please note: check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.

Short Breaks -   short breaks are available.

Bed Linen & Towels- Bed linen and towels are provided.

Heating & Electric - Heating and electricity are included in the accommodation price.

Infant facilities- Sorry there are no infant facilities provided. 

Pets - One well-behaved pet welcome (to be kept downstairs). There is a fixed retractable stair gate at the bottom of the stairs in the kitchen.

Wi-Fi - Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. The owner cannot guarantee the availability or speed of the service as this is dependent on third-party suppliers.

Parking - There are two free car passes provided for use in the main ‘pay & display' car park next to the beach in Aberdyfi only (spaces are subject to availability). 

Health and Safety- The main road outside Bodafon can get quite busy, please be mindful of cars appearing suddenly and be especially cautious when children are exiting the property.  

The front and rear patios have low railings and walls with steep drops. The rear patio is terraced on various levels, and the steps up to the rear patio area are made from slate and can be slippery when wet.

Due to the elevated nature of the property, care is to be taken and children must be supervised at all times.

The stairs in Bodafon are those you expect to find in an older property and are angled, uneven with steep drops and additional unexpected steps on landing areas. 

Access - Please contact us immediately if there are any specific needs you may have, including disability needs. It is essential that we are given as much information as possible about your requirements to avoid booking an unsuitable property. Some locations do not lend themselves to easy access and facilities, so please ask first to avoid disappointment. The choice is ultimately the responsibility of the person booking the property, and we cannot be held responsible should a property be booked that is unsuitable or inappropriate.

Location - The property is located in the centre of the village and there can be some associated noise during busier times.

Photographs - In order to provide you with as much detail of the properties as possible, we sometimes use wide-angle photography, which can make certain rooms or spaces appear larger than they actually are. If you have any queries regarding the size of any rooms, please do not hesitate to contact us.
