Information on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) for guests.

To our loyal customers,

Firstly, thank you for your support as we navigate through these unprecedented times.

During this time we have tried to keep pace with the changing advice to ensure we remain on top of the economic situation, as well as most importantly, ensuring we do everything in our power to keep everyone safe and do our bit for the health of the wider public and the national effort to fight coronavirus.

In the meantime we will continue our social distancing measures for self-catering cottages, we realise that our friends in the community including health care professionals, police and other essential services, are asking for us to help them by asking people to stop travelling on holiday in the near future.

Following government information that travel to holiday cottages is not regarded as essential, you will now not be able to travel to your cottage. It is for this reason, we have made the decision to cease taking new bookings for the period up to 4th June 2020. We are also asking that any customer with a booking in the properties listed by us and due to depart between now and 4th June 2020 to defer their booking and move it to a date later in the year. You may also be able to transfer to next year (2021) depending on availability. If you transfer to a more expensive time of year you will be charged the difference in price.  We are also asking all of our owners to continue to support us in deferring these dates. We expect that we may need to extend this period at some point in the next few weeks, and we will continually monitor and review the situation.

Cancelling your upcoming holiday

Should you prefer to cancel your holiday we would advise that you check with your travel insurance provider as to whether you are covered. If you are, then we are here to help provide you with whatever information you need to make your claim. To cancel your holiday and request the relevant documents, please email us with the information that you require.

If you have not taken out travel insurance for your upcoming holiday, then you can request a transfer of your holiday dates, free of any administration charges.

Over the past few days, we have been allowing our customers with upcoming holidays to move their bookings should they wish to (for those who have, you do not need to contact us again). However, as the situation in the country continues to increase in severity, we now feel it is right to recommend this for all remaining bookings in the period to 4th June 2020.

We will be contacting you to rearrange dates on a week by week basis with upcoming bookings in May being contacted first, in line with the latest government advice. So, if your holiday is at the start of June we will contact you last of all. I hope you can understand that we have a large number of people to contact and it will take some time

In line with the latest guidance, we are working from home and are contactable only via e-mail.

We hope you see that the above guidance is for the wider benefit of our society at this time.

We all feel strongly that this is the right thing to do now and would be grateful for your support with this difficult decision.

As the situation is changing daily we continue to follow guidance from the Government and NHS.
